Stamplicity has been around for 13 years!!  Hard to believe as I've had so much fun in that time.  The store originally  open with just stamps, inks, embossing powder and paper but as scrapbooking evolved & became so popular I thought I should evolve as well.  My passion is stamping & knowing there was no way I could put the stamps aside, I became a scrapbooker but incorporated stamps into scrapping.  Then came the daughters weddings and the grandkids so you can imagine how things changed.

Way before scrapbookers were into the stamping scene Stamplicity was introducing this product in our classes.  It worked and now scrapbookers have many interesting stamps that they add onto their pages for journalling, embellishments or borders.

I made it my goal to teach customers that stamping crosses over into scrapbooking very well.  Stampers were a stubborn bunch and I heard many times that they would not get into the scrapbooking scene.  Over time I think stampers realized with the investment they had in stamps and mediums, that maybe they could use their stamps to make scrapbooks and have some fun designing their own pages. As almost everyone takes pictures of either family, occasions, trips, or events why wouldn't you want to scrapbook these pictures and the rest is history!!

Stamplicity now carries a wide selection of products to satisfy the scrapper and the stamper and has 3 parttime ladies who help me out.

About 8 or 9 years ago we decided to enter into designing wedding invitations and to teach classes to future brides.  It seemed important to them to make a statement and to personalize their own invitations.  This has become very popular now and is such a cost savings to them that Stamplicity has become known to assist brides in creating their very own invite.  It has grown to brides doing their wedding programs, shower invites, thank you cards, favours, and anything else they can make themselves.  Check out our wedding invitation page to see some of the samples that are in the store.

It's the personal satisfaction that someone gets in completing a card or scrapbook page.  It builds self-esteem to be able to say to yourself  "I made this" and when someone who receives a card is so pleased that you "took the time to make something for them".  What else could be more satisfying??

I get as much satisfaction today as I did 15 years ago when I made a card or completed a project.

My staff are the best and I really believe that.  They will go to great lengths to help you with whatever you're looking for.  Our service is great, it's a happy place to come and visit and in this day and age we need that more than ever.

Brenda Bennett

Brenda joined our team May 2006 and just seemed to complete the team. Brenda has been scrapbooking for a few years before she came to the store and although she scrapbooks alot of her son Joshua, she has many other pages that she displays in the store. Brenda lost her husband a few years ago in a tragic accident but the Gods have been good to her and she has found a great guy that Josh loves as well. All of us at Stamplicity are happy to see a smile on Brenda's face again and the fact that she will be getting married this June has been great news to us. Brenda brings amazing talent to Stamplicity and enjoys card making just about as much as she does scrapbooking. She is never afraid to try any new technique and goes over the top to help customers with any question they have. Brenda normally works Mondays, Thursday and Fridays and tries to attend many conventions with me.

Sue Ebert

Sue Ebert was an customer before she joined our team and it was just by chance that I was fortunate to hire her. We met at the Toronto sewing festival and while talking she mentioned that she had just retired as a school principal. Somehow we got on the subject of me needing a part time person and that seemed to be it. I hired Sue in Nov 2002 and she now works normally Tuesday and Wednesday. Sue's specialty is watercolour and she has taken lesson for many years. I can't begin to tell you the talent this lady has for this technique and she applies it to cards and her scrapbooking pages with amazing results. Personally Sue has 2 sons and 2 lovely daughter-in-laws as well as 3 grandchildren. With one son and the grandkids living in Vermont, a retired husband, a 5th wheel and her passion to travel Sue doesn't let much grass grow under her feet. She takes trips and her scrapbook pages tells the story of the amazing places she has been to. Sue enjoys sharing her talents with customers and believes that our store is the best around. Sue will help you in any way she can whether it be with a bride or a new cardmaker.

Pauline Bain (OWNER)

My story into this hobby began when I received a stamp, ink and embossing powder from my step-daughter Christmas 1993. Believe me when I tell you I was not a crafty person as I was always into my career at Canada Trust. Once I got into management I realized that playing with this stamping hobby really was a stress reliever for me. I became so obsessed with the hobby and work was becoming so stressful that with the encouragement of my daughter and husband Keith I quit the bank and opened a very small store November 1996. I have never looked back and since then and 2 store moves later, I am having the time of my life. I feel so fortunate in having Brenda, Sue and Janice on the team and being my own boss. I look forward to going to the store every day and helping cusotmers find joy in this hobby. As I started out in just stamping it is my passion although with all the scrapbooks I have done in the store you would never know that. I think it's due to the extended family I now have.. 2 step-daughters with their 5 children and a married daughter, Shawna, and 2 young granddaughters. There is always something going on in my personal life as you will find if you read my newletters. Keith helps in the store when he can although he likes his part time job at Shoppers Drug Mart and although Shawna has her hands full with her family and a job she will still help me out in a bind. Usally you'll see her at our Spring & Fall Fling doing a make and take.

Janice Sammut

Janice Sammut is a retired school teacher and has been a customer for many years. Janice and I just have this arrangement that whenever I am in a bind, going on holidays or whatever I can just call on her. You'll usually see her on a Monday night keeping me company in the back room since I'm open till nine. She will work the Saturdays that I have a show to attend and she was just there to help out in the store when I lost my mom and dad. Thank goodness for Janice. Janice is a dear and really is into cardmaking rather than scrapbooking. Janice is great at putting colours together so scrapbookers love her when they need help coordinating papers. She knows all the products in the store and is very enthusiastic about this hobby. Janice is enjoying her retirement and just having a ball doing what she wants in her golden years.

Hobbies get us through the rough times and is a great stress reliever.  I'm sure you will agree with me, which is why you came into my site in the first place.

Grab your favourite refreshment, relax and I hope you enjoy the pages you are about to go through.

We are here to help you in any way we can.  Email me with any questions you might have.
