This newsflash is mainly about our Fall Fling but of course at Stamplicity there is always something to talk about.
Take note that our store will be closed Good Friday the 6th, Easter Sunday of course and I will take a well needed additional day and will be closed Monday the 9th.
We now have a Bo Bunny paper line in the store called “Country Garden” and it is truly beautiful along with their embellishments. Apparently, Bo Bunny has an online class on an album that we have the paper for, so although we were going to bring this out on our next quarter we know people will want this line now due to the on-line class. Come in and check out this line.
Brenda has a new set of classes that are now posted with pictures on our site..... it’s under “programs”. I hope you’re checking my blog daily, I’m doing it my way and I’ve had alot of positive comments. You can get to it right from my site www.stamplicity.com. After you read the blog keep up-to -date with the other sections, new products, gallery etc. That’s it for news. Now I want to let everyone know about...
The dates for our annual weekend are September 7th, 8th and 9th.
We are changing things a bit this year! They are as follows:
We will NOT be bringing in an out of town teacher this year. Brenda will be teaching all the classes in our workshop at the store. If anyone has taken classes from Brenda then you know this is a smart thing to do. I have some ladies that don’t even know what she’s teaching and have already signed up! Please take note the maximum number of students per class is 10. That`s why Brenda is running most classes
twice throughout the weekend.
The description of her classes, dates and times are as follows...
FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 7th 6 PM TO 9 PM
SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 9th 9 AM TO 12 PM
Stencils are all the rage in the paper crafting world....whether you are a cardmaker, a scrapbooker or a mixed media enthusiast..stencils are a must. Learn how to use stencils with a multitude of products to really get the most out of your stencils. We will combine inks, pastes, sprays and more to create a quick reference technique book with instructions to inspire you with stencils.
STUDENTS ARE ASKED TO BRING A BASIC TOOL KIT (which includes double-sided adhesive, glue, scissors, xacto knife, tweezers, bone folder, glue dots/zots, 3D dots or pop dots)
plus baby wipes, paper towels and a palette knife (the palette knife can be purchased at the store)
All other materials and mediums (inks, pastes, sprays) will be provided including a stencil for each student. Handouts will be given as well.
BUILD IT WITH BACKGROUNDS
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 8th 9:30 AM TO 11:30 AM
Make an impression with Impression Obsession Cover-A-Card Background Stamps. Learn all kinds of tricks for combining these stamps to make stunning patterned paper-like backgrounds. You will combine different inks and backgrounds to make 6 beautifully quick and easy cards. Brenda described the 6 cards to me today even though she has just ordered the stamps she will use. You will be very pleased if you take this class.
STUDENTS ARE ASKED TO BRING A BASIC TOOL KIT (which includes double-sided adhesive, glue, scissors, xacto knife, tweezers, bone folder, glue dots/zots, 3D dots or pop dots)
All other materials and mediums will be provided including a 6X6 cover-a-card stamp for each student to take home. Handouts will be given as well.
FLOWERS 101- MCGILL STYLE
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 8th 2:30 PM TO 4:30 PM
SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 9th 1:30 PM TO 3:30 PM
Everyone loves flowers and these stunning 3D flowers will bring smiles to all. We will create a beautiful bouquet of 3 dimensional realistic paper flowers using Paper Blossum Punches and styling tools from McGill Punches. These flowers will be a lovely addition to any of your projects; cards, scrapbook layouts, etc. They are so gorgeous and simple to make.
STUDENTS ARE ASKED TO BRING A BASIC TOOL KIT (which includes double-sided adhesive, glue, scissors, xacto knife, tweezers, bone folder, glue dots/zots, 3D dots or pop dots)
All other materials and mediums (inks, markers, etc.) will be provided, including a McGill Paper Blossum Tool kit case and a craft molding mat. Handouts will be given as well.
THE WORLD OF ATC’S..AN INTRODUCTORY WORKSHOP
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 8th 12:00 PM TO 1:00 PM
Artist Trading Cards (ATC’s) have become a popular endeavour for many crafters. It is a way to express your creativity and produce miniature works of art that are traded with fellow enthusiasts. Over time, your ATC collection will be not only an inspiration but also a work of art. Come explore and learn more about ATC’s in this 1 hour workshop. Come Create, Come Trade!!
STUDENTS ARE ASKED TO BRING TO THIS CLASS a basic tool kit (which includes double-sided adhesive, glue, scissors, xacto knife, tweezers, bone folder, glue dots/zots, 3D dots or pop dots)
All other materials and medias (inks, markers, etc) will be provided, including an ATC Pack of paper from Creative Imaginations. Handouts will be given as well.

We are also hosting our CREATE-THE-DAY-AWAY ON SATURDAY 8TH FROM 8:30 AM TO 5 PM
at the Wilson Archival Hall (between the Port Museum and the Library on King St)
The fee for this day is $65.00 and includes....

The store will remain open for shopping during the classes on the weekend.
If you want to attend our event, don`t procrastinate, as in previous years ladies have signed up quickly and that was before we put the limits on the hall and classes.
