Don`t forget about my Saturday FREE make and take every week. This week you will be doing a small bound album using the Cinch. These make and takes are super easy and gives you a chance to use products you make have not worked with before. I usually have a discount on what you use at the make and take. What my plan is to make up kits and if I have any left from the Saturday then I`ll keep doing them at the beginning of the next week until my kits are gone. If you can`t get in on the Sat. then visit us Monday and as we might have some left. Don`t forget we are open Monday night normally till 9, unless there are weather issues.

In the near future I will be placing an order with Memory Box and Poppystamps so check out their sites and let us know if there are any must have items you need to order.

With the retailer convention in Los Angeles fast approaching Companies such as Sizzix, Tim Holtz, Spellbinders and companies who produce embossing folders are giving us a sneak peek of what will be introduced on the market in the next few months. Once again I`ll be posting these new items on my site under `products` and you can contact the store to place pre-orders. Don`t be disappointed by holding off until they arrive as you might be out of luck with my first order and then will have to wait awhile for the next shipment. I have too have to pre-order the items myself and it`s a guessing game for me to decide how many to order and what the demand will be.

NOVEMBER 27TH NEWSFLASH

For those of you that are Tim Holtz fans, we have had Tim’s paper packages in the store for awhile and I have decided to separate these packages and sell the double sided cardstock individually. I know some of you don’t want an entire package so now is your chance to purchase just the paper you want. I know the paper won’t last long and I am open Monday night till 9 so come in and purchase your favorites before they are gone. (each sheet $1.15)

I have a request for those of you that enjoy making cards just for the joy of giving it to someone who would really appreciate it. I have a dear friend that earlier this year was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). Karen retired 3 years ago, is only 57 and never expected to be living in this hell (as she states). Karen’s disease has progressed so much in the last 3 months it has been heartbreaking. She now needs a wheelchair and a pad and pencil to get her message across as her speech is suffering so. I will be making a trip to London a couple times in the next 2 weeks to see what the next step is to providing some comfort to her for the next few months. What I am asking is, if you could spare a little time to make a card for Karen for Christmas. (Get well cards are really not appropriate at this stage for Karen.) She is so appreciative of any little thing someone does for her, although I suspect the tears will be flowing as she opens any card it will be worth the time anyone takes to make a card for her.

Wanted to let everyone know of the last few classes that will take place in the first 2 weeks of December. These classes would be perfect gifts for that special someone or just a nice keepsake for yourself. Sign up quick as Brenda has only 6 openings for each class.

CHRISTMAS MEMORIES ALBUM DECEMBER 12TH MON 1PM

$45.00 approx 2 ½ hours

Join us as we create a special memory album inspired by Tim Holtz. The album will encompass everything Christmas including wishes, photos and thoughts. Tuck away special momentos in the album pockets and add your own pages to truly create your own personalized album. Students are asked to bring their basic tool kit and all other materials will be provided. There will even be products to take home with you. Please be aware the album pictured above that Brenda completed in Texas, will be slightly larger when completed by students.

CHRISTMAS CONFIGURATION BOX DECEMBER 5TH MON 10:30 AM

$45.00 approx. 2 ½ hours

Create a truly unique Christmas decoration for yourself or a loved one. In this class capture the magic of Christmas as you tuck in mementos in the configuration box. A wonderful piece to display during Christmas. Students are asked to bring their basic tool kit. Other materials will be provided and don’t forget it’s Christmas so there will be take home products. Please be aware that the box students will make in class will be slightly different than the picture above, which is the box Brenda completed in Texas.

CHRISTMAS TIME PIECES DECEMBER 9TH FRI 10:30 AM

$35.00 approx 2 ½ hours

Create two unique time pieces in this Christmas class. First you will create a one of a kind piece of jewellery using a pocket watch. Then we will paper craft a beautiful frame to hold your favorite Christmas memory. Both projects make great gifts. Students are required to bring their basic tool kit to class. All other materials are included.

WINTER SONG ALTERED BOOK DATE NOT DETERMINED

$45.00 approx 2 1/2 hours

We are currently trying to get a feel for those of you that would be interested in taking this class in the new year. We have had a positive response just by the album being on display in the store but would like to know how many kits we should prepare and quantities of paper we should order. I took this class in Texas, but Brenda is the prime teacher in my store so it will be her class. This paper line will be featured in the 1st quarter, therefore Brenda will also be preparing a double page scrapbooking layout and a card class. No class date has been decided yet but due to the overwhelming response it will probably be run many times. Please let us know if you are interested in this class.

Join Brenda as she walks you through creating a beautiful altered book. The soft palette of purples and silver are perfect for your winter holiday photos. Brenda includes touches of Luminarte and Paint It papers. This album will be altered a bit to accommodate the dies we have access to, to make the book.

SCRAPBOOK CLASS DECEMBER 1ST THURS 1PM

$20.00 approx 2 hours

This is the 2 page layout that is featured for the 4th quarter with My Minds Eye Paper line.

If you haven’t thought about your Christmas cards it’s time to get your thinking cap on. We have lots in the store to help you and can even give you some ideas for Christmas gifts. Remember to make out your Wish List at our store and tell family and friends where you want them to shop. If someone comes in and purchases something from your list they will get a 10% discount. As well, if you are a 3 “S” member they will get an additional 10%. It’s a win for us, you and whoever purchases your gift. Also let family and friends know we have gift certificates for any amount and they are lovely handmade cards. What could be better!

Our store is full of product and most of Tim Holtz Christmas dies will be in the store by the end of this week.

The 4^th quarter Christmas paper line is from My Mind’s Eye and many ladies are using them to make their cards. It has glitter on it and is very festive and holiday looking. Check out the site to see the classes you can take using this line.

Bo Bunny has once again released a Black Friday special and the packages will be in the store on Friday. We have 21 coming in so we can only allow 1 per customer. For $25.00 you can get this package that has a retail value of $70.00! Anyone who knows the Bo Bunny lines can tell you it is a must buy and a super deal.

Smash journals have become a big seller to Mom’s and Grannies who aren’t sure what to get the girls at that difficult age of 7 to 14. The videos on K and Company website give you an idea what this popular product is all about. These journals allow girls to put in little treasures that they keep in their younger years, tickets, notes from friends, pictures or any little keepsakes. Journaling is great to remind them of special events such as birthdays, a night out at a carnival, events at school, holiday happenings, special friends and what they share together. It’s an excellent gift and already girls are putting the accessories on their wish list. Grace, my granddaughter has been showing all her friends her journal and even Brenda’s son, Josh, has one. The journals themselves only cost $15.95 and the accessories are not expensive either. I have even sold these journals to adults. Come in the store to see what we have.

Most of the new Bo Bunny “Snowfall” line of papers will be arriving by week's end and of course we will be getting their “Enchanted” line in the near future. I have been working with the new product from We R Memory Keepers and their "Sew Ribbon” tool is perfect for anyone that uses ribbons on their cards or pages. What a fun and easy little tool to work with! We now have in stock from Doodlebug, their Doodle Pops, cards and envelopes. The cards I made in Texas are on the home page of my site. Also from Paper Cut, there are amazing pop-out cards that are already scored. If you check the site you’ll see the 4 cards I made with them in Texas. It’s on the home page as well. Check out our "Products" page "New Products" to see all the pictures of what I have mentioned.

Due to the popularity of our Christmas classes we will continue to teach them until the 1st of December. Brenda is planning on designing one other Christmas class using more Embossing folders as her Winter Wonderland class seems to be what many are looking for. Brenda is taking a family cruise on Nov 12th for a week but I am booking classes now for the last 2 weeks of Nov. Sign up now so you won't be disappointed. We have a nice selection of Christmas stamps in wood or cling to suit anyone’s taste. I know veteran stampers still like those wood mount stamps even though the cling is more affordable.

We just received the Canadian Scrapbooker and are proud to announce that Brenda, our part-timer is published on page 49!!!!   Brenda designs amazing layouts and I finally convinced her to submit some. I’m not surprised one of her layouts was accepted. I feel confident this is not the last time you will see Brenda’s work in the magazine and she is continuing to send pages in.   Stay tuned for future announcements on Brenda’s work.

In my last newsflash I understand the links that I inserted would not open. I apologize for that and have found out that if I send emails through “Windows Live Mail” (which was put on my new computer) the links will not open and it will cause other problems.
