STAMPLICITY NEWSFLASH FOR MAY

In the last newsflash I mentioned about my new site which is coming along.  Well, we are almost there!!  We are meeting with Dan to streamline a few things and have him teach us how to make the day to day changes we will be doing.  Brenda's blog will be exciting and there will be many new features for all of you to investigate.  Mark on your calendar to check out the site on May 15th. We are so excited about it!

In the April newsletter I mentioned about the new product available to Cricut owners.  For those of you who didn't get to take advantage of ordering it before, I have included the information again in this newsflash and will have a couple left.  As well, I can still order them but might not get the best price unless I order them in larger quantities.  The price I get on the second order I place will be determined by how many I order the next time so your best to pre-order and pay for them.

There is a website that you should check out if you are interested in having the capability of cutting out any font or clipart that is currently on your computer.  I had a customer tell me about this.  I vaguely heard about it last year but also heard it wouldn’t work on your Cricut (apparently I was misinformed.)  I had the opportunity of getting at least 10 of these programs at a great price to resell to my customers. I ended up with 14 pre-orders so he let me order what I needed plus a few more.   If I have peaked your curiosity, check out “Sure Cuts A Lot” and their site, which is www.mycricutbuddy.com

The cost to you is $80.00 Canadian plus tax.  I’ll take care of the shipping. Here is a paragraph from their site….

It allows you to cut any TrueType font, any Dingbat (image) font, any popular image format, and any SVG image with your Cricut cutting machine! You can create ANY image/logo/design or use an existing design and cut it on paper/vinyl/chipboard/wood veneer/magnet sheets/more. Sure Cuts A Lot doesn’t use Cricut cartridges so you will never have to buy another $80-$100 cartridge again. Have a company logo or sports team mascot you want to cut? Sure Cuts A Lot can do it!

JUST SOME OTHER NEWS

The UK Cuttlebug folders are here and are going fast.  Of course, we will be placing another order and should be getting the Christmas ones on the next order.  As well, I am trying to encourage the company to get the other ones that are currently only being sold in the UK.  The man is not sure whether he can but will certainly try..they are gorgeous as well. You can check out my site to view the ones I currently can get under New Products.  The only ones that are not coming is the snowmen and snowflakes, but they have assured me they will be available in the next shipment.

I have ordered the new line of Magnolia stamps “Fairytales” and as they are from the United Kingdom do get too excited as they will take at least a month to arrive at our store.  I don’t think many people realized how cute these stamps were until we got them in and did our samples.  I won’t say any more, just once again check out our site under New Products to see our samples.  A lot of the images were coloured with Copic Markers.  Even I have found the time to colour them, (mind you it’s been at home on the couch about 9 at night while watching either Dancing with the Stars, American Idol or Survivor!)

Brenda and I attended the Ecstasy Craft retailer classes on the 16th and we both enjoyed ourselves from the Thurs night in the hotel room with some wine, swiss chalet and Survivor to the last class which ended at 5pm on Fri.  In between that time we took 4 classes and shopped.  The store now has some more beautiful 3d designs, new stencils, great peel offs, and the lovely cards we had fun doing in the different classes.  We will pursue some of their new punches that emboss as well as punch out and Brenda is designing many exciting classes to incorporate their new products.  Check out the new products area to see them and the cards we designed.  The exciting part for me was to watch Brenda as she really enjoyed the Pergamano class and will incorporate some Perga techniques in her classes.

I have decided to have a Pergamano class once a month to allow me to keep up with the craft that I have such a passion for.  I'll be changing the Pergamano classes I teach around a bit so stay tuned for news about that in a future newsflash.

Just a little footnote about what happened while I was away at Ecstasy.  Janice took over at the store from Thurs. afternoon as Sue was on holidays and the Saturday morning on her way out to her car she fell and broke her arm. Her husband called 911 and they took her to the Welland hospital.  Needless to say, she did not make it to the store and a good customer who was going to keep her company at the store ended up working it by herself.  To any of you who visited the store that day, many thanks for your patience with Glenna as she said everyone understood the situation and were very nice to deal with.  Of course, I am very grateful to Glenna for taking on the challenge that day.

Janice is doing OK but really had a nasty break so she will be seeing a surgeon in the near future.  We are thinking about you Janice.

Hero Arts have just released their spring line so in the next couple weeks I hope to place an order with them.  The last couple releases have not excited us but this newest line out I am anxious to get.  Check out their site www.heroarts.com and let us know if there are any that you just have to have.

We have all the new Distress Inks available and I am taking pre-orders for Tim Holtz's line of embossing folders.  They will probably be in sometime during the month of May.

They tell me the new Cuttlebug products will begin to ship any time now but as it's Provo Craft I won't hold my breath!!   I am still taking pre-orders for them.

Our new classes we are setting up will excite everyone.  Sue is working on new Copic Classes therefore I will be carrying more colours I haven't had in before, as well as more sketch markers.

You must check out the Sweet Deal for May, Art Impression, at www.artimpressions.com.  Another very different line and call us or check the site for the class dates that Brenda will be teaching with these new stamps.  Their line of Back and Fronts and Windows and Door stamps will be extremely popular due to their uniqueness.  Check out the Sweet Deal page for a sample and details.  I had these many years ago when I first opened and to say they were fun is to put it mildly.

Well, that's all I can think of that's new right now, but you know Stamplicity always has news and actively pursues new products and techniques.
