I saw many new paper lines from popular companies such as Bo Bunny and was quite surprised at the timeframe for these lines to come out. Many are looking at late Feb and early March. This is just as disappointing to us as all of you as it's hard to plan our new classes.
Having said that with all the new techniques and products I saw at the show we will be making up some new classes. Check out the site in the near future for pictures of them.
Brenda has made up 2 double page scrapbook designs for those of you who would rather just purchase kits that have everything cut out and laid out for you. The kits include a coloured photo showing you how all the papers are layered together to complete the pages. All you have to do is glue the mats and add your pictures. Already, many kits have sold and once they are gone, they're gone as the specific paper she used is gone as well. They will be posted on our site under the "New Products" page.
In relation to the above information on Brenda's kits we will have a new product in the store this Friday
The 12th called the "Freeze Frame". I was just thinking how well this new tool would work with Brenda's kits. Check it out at www.thefreezeframe.com
Our inventory of Clearsnap's Smooch products flew out the door but we have another order arriving Fri of both their spritz inks and pearlized accents which come in a bottle that looks like nail polish. We are having fun doing make and takes with these as well as the Mica Gloss Accents.
Some new things you'll see around the store are our little signs identifying "New Products" and a sign at the front door announcing that we offer "Free Make and Takes" everyday all day. If we don't mention about our make & take and you have the time, please inquire what's on the "menu" when you come in.
I have put together a list in the store with all the new SPELLBINDERS and CUTTLEBUG products that will be out in the near future. If you are interested in pre-ordering anything please let us know and we will add it onto our list so you can be assured of getting them as soon as they are available. I will be sending in an order to ensure I will be one of the first stores in Ontario to have them in stock. You can check out
all new products Spellbinders offers at www.spellbinderspaperarts.com and Cuttlebug products at www.provocraft.com.
As well as the above product coming in, the new 12 colors of Tim Holtz Distress Inks have been ordered, but I have just been notified that they are not yet available for shipment.
Clearsnap has put out a neat little tool called the Color Catcher. If you have any spray bottles of Glimmer Mist, Smooch, etc. where do you spray them currently so you don't get the inks all over the place or on your hands? Well this Color Catcher catches everything. Google it or come in and check this out when it arrives in the store by week's end.
A new little Color Mist spray bottle is coming as well and really puts out a really fine mist.
Our Sweet Deal for January was Magnolia. I placed the order at the big retailer convention and was assured I should receive the order by the end of February. It comes from Sweden so although I am hoping they will be accurate with the time frame I will still be keeping my fingers crossed.
The Sweet Deal for February is the "Whipper Snapper" stamp line. To find out the prices of the stamps and their website address just go to our site www.stamplicity.com. We have decided that the March Sweet Deal will be B-Line Designs. It is a stamp company and you can check them out at blinedesigns.com. We will have more about March's deal on our site in the near future.
We still have our sale going on with two certain areas of the store at 50% and all the scrapbook patterned paper and wood mount stamps and cling sets at 40% discounted.
A customer found a set of glasses out on the pavement last week. Although a little bent, they still look in good shape so if anyone has a pair missing they might be yours. They will be at our check-out area for awhile.
STAMPLICITY'S SPRING FLING MAY 1ST AND 2ND 9AM TO 5PM
At the L R Wilson Archives Building , 286 King St Port Colborne (2 blocks from our store)
We have it all confirmed and are ready to take registrations for a new semi-annual event.
We have made quite a few changes in regards to fine tuning our event from last year's Autumn Fling.
Every attempt has been made to allow ample time for the make and takes. There are two days that you can pick to register for, depending on whether you are more into stamping or scrapbooking.
The details of our event are as follows...
On Sat. May 1st we will be hosting a day where you can bring your stamping supplies to create cards for everyday or special occasions. (If you are not a stamper or a scrapbooker you can bring whatever hobby you enjoy to work on.) You will have a 3 x 2 ½ foot area to work on your projects and will have the opportunity to participate in the 2 make and takes we will provide throughout the day.
On Sun. May 2nd we will be hosting a scrapbooking day where you can bring your supplies to work on your memory albums. You will have a 6 x 2 ½ foot area to work on your projects and you will have the opportunity to participate in the 2 make and takes we will provide throughout the day
Included in the cost of $60.00 plus GST for the day, we will provide you with a lunch of salad and a sandwich, refreshments, muffins or cookies for any breaks you might want. The make and takes are included in the cost as well as a goody bag, a door prize and an opportunity to use the Cuttlebug & Cricut machine. Although within walking distance, we will provide shuttle services every hour on the hour should you wish to come over to the store to shop. There will be two classes at the store, one in the morning and one in the afternoon with Sue and Brenda. These classes are 2 hours in length and the $20.00 plus GST cost for each class is not included in the $60.00.
The make and takes on Sat. will focus on cardmaking as will the classes at the store. On Sunday, the make and takes and the classes at the store will be more focused on Memory Albums. Only attendees for the day will be allowed to participate in the make and takes at the hall. We will not be offering any other options.
Attendees who pre-register will be given first chance to sign up for classes at the store and then if there are any openings left in the classes, they will be offered to the public for registration. There will be different make and takes or demos at the store that are available to the public throughout the day.
By the end of February, samples of classes & make and takes for both days will be available for viewing on our site at www.stamplicity.com under the SPRING FLING tab at the bottom of the home page.
To register for our Spring Fling either on May 1st or 2nd please contact the store. You can use a credit card to reserve your spot. If you are interested in taking a class you can register at the same time.
After April 1st we will open the classes to the public if there are any openings left.
Don't hesitate to sign up, as in previous years our events have filled up quickly.
