STAMPLICITY'S 10TH ANNIVERSARY
Stamplicity's grand finale anniversary party on November 4th was a big success. We had a total of 21 ladies bring in slices of our birthday cake they created with a template we gave them in October. Some ladies even brought in extra slices. Pictures below show how creative everyone was. We decided no one would be able to decide which ones were the best slices so we had customers draw the three ballots for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes. The winners were....
Laurie Martin won a Microfleur (for drying flowers etc)
Cecile White won a 12 x 12 album
Joyce Teathers won a Magenta stamp
We had many items tagged with a discount of 15% and if customers wanted to purchase them, they could also play black jack at the checkout counter for an additional discount. They received their cards and as long as they stopped asking for cards before going over 21 they received the total of their cards on top of the 15%. Many had fun with that.
We also had a couple of make and take stations as well as a delicious cake and refreshment available throughout the day.
You know that saying "Murphy's Law"???????????? Well Murphy certainly showed up on the Saturday and decided to add a little more confusion to the day. Our toilet and sink backed up and a pipe cracked in the basement so we had workers trying to fix the problem as quickly as possible.
Our big prize of a 30 second shopping spree went to Sue Hilberg from Smithville. Sue became a new customer earlier that week and her name was drawn by Lawrence Sammut who came to pick up his mother. I finally got in touch with Sue late Sunday evening and she was quite excited. Sue was able to come down to the store again on Monday evening the 13th. She took her time looking around the store trying to decide what to grab in 30 seconds. It was a 'Night to Unwind' so there were 5 ladies, Sue's husband and daughter, as well as Keith and I there to cheer her on. As you can see from the pictures below, Sue had an arm full within 30 seconds and her grand prize amounted to $166.32. She was quite excited about all the stamps she picked up. It was an exciting time!!!
Friends and family gave us beautiful bouquets of flowers and after the day was over Keith and I had a delicious meal at our favourite restaurant "Sugar's Too". Then we went home and I crashed for the rest of the weekend.
Keith and I want to thank everyone who supported us the last 10 years and we look forward to many more years of meeting new people and having fun with our existing customers.
